Tiegan had a peaceful day of kangaroo care and he met his big sister for the first time. Moorea had lots of questions but in the end seemed satisfied with the explanation that Tiegan has to grow at the hospital before he can come home with us.
The pediatric surgeon (with whom we have been meeting since our arrival at Children's) is pleased with the look and feel of Tiegan's belly and we're hopeful that he'll be pooping soon and therefore able to start eating, too. Right now he gets enough calories through his IV to gain weight but eating is far preferable. As of his weigh-in this evening he is back to his birth weight of 2 pounds 1 ounce.
