Getting close

Tegan blasted through the four pound barrier today with one of his personal-best one-day weight gains, 65 grams. He now weighs 4 lbs, 1 oz, or 1850 grams. When I called at 9 to check on him, the nurse, who happened to be his first night nurse almost two months ago, said "Are you calling to check on fattie?".

As of noon today, he is eating on demand, as much as he wants. On Monday, they'll stop fortifying his milk. If that goes well, on Weds Karen and Tiegan will have a 24 hour mom-baby bonding session in a room adjacent to the NICU, without monitors, and if that goes well, he'll come home Thurs!
