Mr. T, week 1

The little man has been home for nearly a week, and things have gone about how one would expect for the first week home with a baby boy. We took all of the obligatory newborn-coming-home pics: Tiegan in his carseat at the hospital, Tiegan in his carseat at home, Tiegan taking his first bath, etc., etc. We bid a fond farewell to any reasonable amount of sleep for the next six to twelve months. We learned to respect the baby boy apparatus when changing diapers (he sprayed my chest, the floor, the wall, a picture on the wall, his clothes, blanket, and diaper changing pad cover in one particularly ugly episode). And we nurtured our paranoias.

Tiegan did take his first trip to the ER yesterday, but it turned out to be nothing. He asked that we not disclose the specific reason for the visit due to its personal nature.

Moorea is excited to have her baby brother home and is doing really well with him. The sanitization requirements vex her, but she tolerates them for the most part.

Regarding the spray, this item does not work well until about four months, when it tends to stay in place between the bigger legs, but after that it works great. Our advice is always to have wash cloths handy to cover the lil pischer while changing diapers. Happy mother's day.
